Review: SKIN & LAB Dr. Spot Clear Don't Touch Trouble

SKIN & LAB Dr. Spot Clear Don't Touch Trouble (15ml)
SKIN&LAB is not just another cosmetic brand but realization of true science based on plenty of dermatologist experiences. All products of SKIN&LAB are designed to provide dermatological solutions.
Description: Don't Touch Trouble with sophora extract works quickly to help calm the skin and restore skin comfort.
Directions: Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily.

(Click on the picture to enlarge...)

(Source from SKIN&LAB)

It comes in a soft squeeze-able tube with a twist-off cap.

Consistency & Color:
Gel-like serum texture and opaque. After a few minutes of applying the product, it will get absorbed and become translucent.

Scent:
Errr... not too strong? pretty much odorless? ps, I don't know how to describe for this... :/

Likes:
- the ingredients & the formula
- easy to use
- works effectively on mild acne (whiteheads, flesh color zits etc)
- heals acne zits at the same time, reduce the redness of post acne marks/scarring
- not drying nor harsh; suits sensitive skin
- no side effect; no irritation
- not very sticky
- translucent :)
- can be used both day and night use

Dislikes:
- takes a long period of time to dry and heal the pimples
- for me, it does not work on large painful hormonal pimples

Previously I was using the Etude House AC Clinic Pink Powder Spot which doesn't suit to use it in the day, especially if I'm going out, because it will leave an obvious layer/spot/mark after applying the product. So I got this SKIN&LAB Dr. Spot Clear Don't Touch Trouble to use it in the day. Right after I used up the AC Clinic Pink Powder Spot, I use the Dr. Spot Clear Don't Touch Trouble in the day and night. So far, I used up one and a half tube already.

Overall conclusion, I kinda like and hate this. lol.

I like it because it heals and dry up the pimples while minimize the redness of the acne scars/marks. That means when a pimple gets healed, the mark left on the skin will be less red and can be faded easily and much faster using a scar/spot treatment product(eg: whitening spot treatment). For me, using a scar/spot treatment, normally it takes 3-6 months(depends on how severe the acne is) to heal post acne mark. But after using this product, it takes 1-2 months to get rid of the mark. (PS: This only works on new zits, new acne marks.)

I hate it because it takes a long time to get rid of a pimple. Unlike other acne spot treatments which on average takes 3-5days or a week to heal a pimple, the period of time this product takes to heal my pimples various from 1-3 weeks. Another downside, it does not heal my large painful hormonal acne. :(

Even though I do have reasons to hate this product, I would still consider buying it because of the "speed up process" of healing acne mark/scar left after drying up a new pimple. Nowadays I seldom get large inflamed acne unless I'm having a bad life routine or it's "the time of the month"(life being a girl -.-) so since it works effectively for my whiteheads/flesh color zits, I don't mind making a repurchase. In fact, I already gotten another 3 boxes(as seen from first picture). :P I tend to use up a tube pretty fast because I apply a lot of the product on a pimple. LOL! XD As for "How I treat my hormonal acne?", well, Nexcare Acne Patch will do the job~! :D

That's it for the product review. :)

Review: Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Make-up Remover

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid(SHA) Hydrating Make-up Remover
(Net wt: 200ml)
Description: Contains advanced skin hydrating ingredient  Super Hyaluronic Acid, with twice the moisture retention capacity of Hyaluronic Acid(1gm of Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold up 6 liters of water). Replenishes essential moisture to visibly improve skin texture and prevent dryness so skin stays soft, hydrated and supple.

Claims to do:
- Gently & effectively removes all traces of make-up, dirt and impurities while preserving skin's natural moisture.
- Water based formula leaves skin clean without any greasy or tight feeling after use.
- Hydrates as it cleanses leaving skin feeling silky smooth.
Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
- Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant.

Directions: Keep your hands and face dry. Squeeze sufficient amount onto your palm, and massage directly onto your face; using gentle circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water.

It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump and a lock tab. :D

Consistency & Color:
Liquid-y texture and translucent.

Scent:
Odorless; it's fragrance-free :)

Likes:
- water based and hyaluronic acid formula
- free of fragrances, mineral oil, colorant and alcohol
- non greasy; does not break me out :D
- non-drying
- easy to use
- no leakage from the pump after dispensing of the product :)
- less harsh; suits sensitive skin
- remove light makeup effortlessly
- remove light makeup without leaving a tight, squeaky clean feeling
- a little goes a long way~~~

Dislikes:
- does not remove waterproof make-up :(
- does not remove heavy make-up; works only for light to medium make-up.

Demonstration XDDD:
...massaging the product on the make-up swatches...

...and... rinse it off....
(ps for my hairy hand~ wheeeeeeeeee XPPP)
As seen from the pictures, it failed to remove my waterproof eyeliners. Well, it did not even completely remove my Revlon Colorstay eyeliner. :(

Overall, I still like this make-up remover because of it's hydrating purposes. :D For me, even though it does not remove all kinds of make-up but it doesn't really matter to me because I use separate make-up removers for my face and eyes. And... I don't apply heavy make-up; my make-up is always light or light to medium~ so as long as it removes all traces of my face make-up, I'm satisfied with it. :)

By the way, Hada Labo has another makeup remover which is called "Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Oil". It's for heavy make-up and waterproof mascara so if you are a heavy make-up person, you might want to get the cleansing oil instead of this water based remover. :)

That's that. XOXO :)

Review: Y.E.T Shinning Mirror Ball Ultra Glitter Lip Gloss

Y.E.T Shinning Mirror Ball Ultra Glitter Lip Gloss (9g)
Let's look at the packaging box~ Isn't it pretty and adorable? I really like the design printed on the packaging box~ It's full of colors which makes me feel really happy just by looking at it~ That's my first impression of the product when I first received it. :D

Moving on to the main object — the lip gloss!
The lip gloss comes in a plastic bottle tube with a black plastic twist-off cap. As you can see, the name of the product is printed on the tube as well as a doll print. I think the doll print is actually the mascot(?) of Y.E.T, okay I'm not really sure but anyway, there are 3 of them and all of them look different. Lol.

I have to say that the doll looks a little scary to me. Well, perhaps it only affect me~ Honestly, I'm really afraid of dolls. They just look creepy... -_-"

Next....,
It comes in 4 colors — #01 Chandelier, #03 Sparkling Red, #04 Flash Rose and I got it in #02 Pink Champagne.

Just like most of the lip glosses out there, it comes with a sponge applicator which makes it easy for application.

Here's the swatch~:
The color is so gorgeous with tiny glitters, I mean really tiny, and the color can be semi-sheer to intense shade if you layer it on. Yes, you can build up the color; it's buildable~ :D

Scent:
It has a strawberry scent similar to the scent of My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask. It smells like Strawberry Pocky too~~~

Consistency:
It's glossy without being too thick. For me, I find it quite sticky even though I only applied a thin layer... If I were to rate the stickiness between 1(not tacky) to 10(very tacky), I would probably rate it a 7 or 8? [...] On the positive side, it's easy to apply on lips.

Size:
Net weight: 9g
Lip Gloss bottle tube size: 10.8cm x 1.6cm
Convenient to carry it around because of it's portable size.

Overall Conclusion: I personally dislike strawberry. I don't eat it neither would I want to apply a gloss that has a strawberry scent on my lips. If you ask me if I will purchase other colors, I would say no because I dislike sticky lip gloss(not even a slight tackiness...) so even though I really like the color and the packaging, I would not want to purchase the rest of the colors. :( People who wouldn't mind the lip gloss scent and the consistency/texture, you can go ahead and grab this. :)

Review: Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Milk

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid(SHA) Hydrating Milk

  • Hyaluronic Acid(HA) - 1gm is able to hold 6 litres of water, effectively locks-in moisture on skin.

- It is free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant. Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.

Directions: Use twice a day after the hydrating lotion. Apply on palms and gently pat onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.

I couldn't express how much I LOVE THIS moisturizer! I mean this is the only moisturizer which works for me and it does really provides more than enough moisture to my skin! It's not greasy nor heavy, gets absorb into the skin after application and I'm pretty sure it does not clogged up the pores. Because so far, I don't have any problems with this moisturizer. Honestly, my acne problem got better. I only get mild breakout during "that time of month"(life being a girl. dang!). This milk lotion absolutely suits people who live in tropical countries, like me. :)

I'm not saying that this product is something which cures acne because well...this product line focus on "hydrating" instead of "troubled skin". However, in my situation, I believe"lack of moisture" is the root cause of my acne. On the other hand, I mentioned before that I have dry skin as well... so that's why hydrating does helps me to keep my acne at bay. :D

My mom, who has dry skin, saw the major improvement that I had and she wants to try out on this moisturizer too. Up till today, she fell in love with it as well~ She got a bottle for herself and after using it for a period of time, she's glad to notice that her dry skin problem has improved. Moreover, she's no longer has a cake-y makeup look~ Both of us are totally in love with this moisturizer~ XD

Consistency and Color:
Close to watery but it's NOT very watery...It's a really light lotion. It's in white color but when you massage it onto your skin, it will become colorless.

Scent:
Fragrance-free.

Likes:
- nano + super hyaluronic acid formula
- lightweight moisturizer
- provides enough moisture
- does not clogged the pores
- non-greasy
- absorbs into the skin without leaving a very sticky layer
- Brighten up dull skin
- mineral oil, alcohol, fragrance-free
- suits sensitive skin
- nice hydrating moisturizer as makeup base~
- friendly packaging - lotion can be pour out easily without much effort~

Dislikes:
- absolutely none! this product is incredibly awesome for me~ :D

I really love Hada Labo SHA line~! Currently, I'm using the cleanser, lotion(toner) and this, hydrating milk and I'm loving it. :D

- Instantly hydrates skin and helps preserve it's optimum moisture balance.
- Replenishes and locks-in moisture for complete hydration. skin feels significantly soft and supple.
- Helps improve dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it silky smooth.
- It is free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant. Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.

Directions: Use twice a day after cleansing face. Apply on palms and gently pat onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.

Actually... I bought the wrong item. I thought this was a moisturizer however it turned out to be a toner. -_- In Japan, lotion means toner. lol. However, I did not regret buying this~ FYI, this product is one of the top-bestsellers — 1 SOLD EVERY 4 SECONDS in Japan! Wow that's insanely fast. O_O

Unlike most of the toners I have used back then..., this is really impressive! It hydrates the skin really well and gives skin a bouncy feel. I used rose water, which also provides moisture for the skin, as toner in the past(long long time ago~). However, I can say that this Hada Labo SHA Lotion hydrates even better! No, is way much better! But of course, the SHA hydrating milk hydrates even better than this. LOL. After all, hydrating milk is a hydrating moisturizer while this is a hydrating toner. If use both Hada Labo SHA lotion and hydrating milk together, the hydration level is MIGHTY! XD

Consistency and Color:
Liquid-y and colorless. It does not leaves a sticky layer once absorbed into the skin.

Scent:
It's fragrance-free!

Likes:
- hydrates the skin
- lightweight
- gives bouncy effect to the skin
- not sticky
- does not leaves a sticky layer once absorbed into the skin
- 3 types of hyaluronic acid formula~
- no fragrances, mineral oil and alcohol
- no harsh chemical = no side effect!
- friendly packaging - easy to pour out the lotion without much effort
- refill pack available

Dislikes:
- NONE! Absolutely love the toner~

Once you finished the bottle, you can purchase the refill pack which is I think SGD$4(?) cheaper than the one which comes in bottle. :D The refill pack is one of the top-bestsellers too! — 1 SOLD EVERY 2 SECONDS in Japan! Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ

I believe you guys know how bad my acne was in the past yeah yeah~? If you are new to my blog, you can check out "My Acne Story" link at the navigation menu bar at the top of the page for more details on my experience with acne. I used to get breakout in between improvement so after changing my skincare range from acne-fighting products to SHA hydrating products, my breakout stopped. I still do get breakout during "that time of the month"(life being a girl -.-) but other than that, no more breakout.

Uhmmm...I'm not saying that these products are something which cure acne because well...after all this product line focus on "hydrating" instead of "troubled skin". However, in my situation, I believe"lack of moisture" is the root cause of my acne. On the other hand, I mentioned before that I have dry skin as well... so that's why hydrating does helps me to keep my acne at bay~ Now you know why I really love Hada Labo SHA line/products. XD

Replenishes essential moisture to visibly improve skin texture and prevent dryness so skin stays soft, hydrated and supple.

My first tube of Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Facial Wash
Going to finish soon and I just gotten my second tube on last Friday. :D

I got this cleanser after I tried out the Hydrating Milk and Lotion(toner) which also from the same line. I'm really impressed by the moisture both the hydrating milk and lotion gave to my skin. My skin condition(dry/acne problem) definitely improved way a lot. I believe you guys know how bad my acne was in the past yeah yeah~? If you are new to my blog, you can check out "My Acne Story" link at the navigation menu bar at the top of the page for more details on my experience with acne. I stopped getting breakout in between improvement after I started using the SHA products. That's explain why I really loveeeee Hada Labo SHA line~

P/S: I'm not saying that these products are something which cure acne because well...after all this product line focus on "hydrating" instead of "troubled skin". However, in my situation, I believe"lack of moisture" is the root cause of my acne. On the other hand, I mentioned before that I have dry skin as well... so that's why hydrating does helps me to keep my acne at bay~ :)

When I first started using this cleanser, I was amazed by the results. I thought it would be like most of the cleansers out there...you know... most cleansers after you rinse them off your face with water, you immediately would get a tight or squeaky clean feeling and you probably would just want to slap on moisturizer on your face immediately to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling. Guess what? I can say that this Hada Labo Hydrating Face Wash is different! On my first try, right after I rinsed it off with water, I can feel my skin was clean but it's much softer and smoother to touch without any uncomfortable feeling. It does retain skin moisture after cleansing! Frankly, the first word that come into my mind was "Wow...". I do really like the effect it gives. It's amazing. It's claims what it does — preserve skin's moisture and leaving it silky smooth. :)

On a side note, I realized if I squeezed and used too much of the product to wash my face, I get some sort of like... bug bites(?) I get like one or two pinkish-red itchy spots but it's nothing major because it goes away after awhile.. I don't know if this is consider common or only happens to me? lol. Anyway, just keep in mind that you just have to follow the instructions given --- "use sufficient amount" and I believe everything would be fine. :)

my hairy hand~~~ wahahahah~ xP
Consistency and Color:
It's white and soft creamy form. It's very easy to lather and rinse off.

Scent:
Fragrance-free~

Likes:
- cleanses the skin without leaving a tight, squeaky clean feeling
- gives the skin a much softer and smoother to touch
- preserve skin's moisture
- lathers well and easy to rinse off.
- no breakout~!
- fragrance-free
- non-harsh ingredients formula

Dislikes:
- use too much would give sort of like bug bites spots? (maybe only happens to me... :|)

I really like this cleanser. As I've said, I already got myself another tube. :D It's just a basic daily cleanser which cleanses the skin yet preserve skin's moisture, leaving it silky smooth without drying out~

Review: Etude House Tear Drop Liner

Etude House Tear Drop Liner (#1 White Tear) 8g

Etude House Tear Drop Liner available in 4 colors:
#1 White Tear/Innocent Tear/Crystal Color
#2 Silver Tear/Opal Color
#3 Pearl Tear/Pearl Pink Color
#4 Sun Light/Bronze Color
They have a lot of different names huh? LOL. - -"

[...]

I got mine in #1
Probably you are wondering why my bottle labelled "Tear Eye Liner" instead of "Tear Drop Liner".. Well...beats me. :/ Honestly, I don't know why. But I guess it's old packaging or maybe printing error? Lol. It doesn't really matter because as long as I got it from Etude House and know that it's authentic then it's fine. It works and looks the same as "Tear Drop Liner"anyway. :)

(Apologies on the camera not focusing... -_-" I used the wrong camera to shoot this. :x Should have use DSLR instead of digital camera. Macro lens huh? lol :/ )
PS: The color of the close-up shots on the brush and swatch differ from actual product. :x

Likes:
- Sparkly and pretty
- glitter particles are very fine and not overpowering
- brightens up the eyes
- thin brush applicator which makes it easy to apply and control the thickness during application
- not tacky or sticky after dried
- easy to remove with makeup remover
- cheap

Dislikes:
- takes time or hard to dry if applied too much
- non-waterproof
- not long lasting for me because it will fade when rub (a con for me coz I like to rub my eyes lol)

I like to use this on my inner corner of my eyes and lower lash line. Overall, the shimmer and color are really pretty which is why I like it. :D
